i got an SSD for my laptop

problem is i do not have original image for it (OS with all the drivers ...)

but I do have the old drive with OS and hundreds of other software installed..

#1
so idea is that I will clone the old drive to new SSD (without all the other folders .... or in other words clone but exclude non OS needed folders)

what software could do that? Acronis true image I think?

#2
is there some easy software that will let me clean / uninstall all the software with a simple procedure .. to make the OS fast ..

some system clean soft?

please advise ..
thank you ..

PS I tried installing Win 7 as before .. it installs OK .. works fast .. BUT so so many things are off .. (I do have all the drivers from "double driver" backup ..)
- it overheats and shutsdown ! :/ no idea why .. guess wrong drivers ..
- no screen brightness controlls ..
- me and friends tried but can not install NVidia drivers .. and etc ...
- special keys Fn to disable mouse .. screen brightness +/- ....

easier way is to just install from previous original OS

Did the SSD come with software? There's a utility made by Samsung to do jus this.

There also might be an option within your original install to make recovery media that you could use. Do you have anything like that on there?
