Hello all.
Have to admit it...I actually like Windows and Microsoft. There, I've said it! Reasons for this are many, but primarily, because since Windows 98, these OS's (especially XP) have made it possible for my family to "get" computers and how to use them in their everyday lives. Prior to this, I was the odd-ball with his TI-99, C-64, Atari 800, IBM PC Jr. and Apple IIc! No one understood what I was doing, why I was doing it and what the use was. Since the advent of the PC and Windows, it all changed. Now, my family communicates first by e-mail, shares photos, movies and music and even enjoys a bit of gaming every now and then. Suddenly, I wasn't so crazy or "nerdy" afterall!
Anyway, I'm planning on going to Vista once it goes retail...may wait for the OEM versions to come, but will make the switch non-the-less, hopefully with Vista Ultimate. My question is, considering how radical Vista is at the core, is it better to go with wiping my HD's clean and performing a "clean" install? Or will the "upgrade" path be sufficient? I ask this because I have never upgraded a Windows install...I'd always bought/used the full-version. What do you guys think?
Thanks for any thoughts or insights...
