Clean install of Vista using upgrade CD - OEM?

I've read several posts about how you can do a clean install of vista using the upgrade CD. Does this work with the OEM version? If I have an OEM version of XP Home on my pc, can I use this technique with an upgrade Vista Premium OEM CD? If so, will this keep Vista from wiping out my XP key, just in case I want to go back?

It will work just fine. Just make sure you Back-Up all of the data you wish to keep.

No. Your key for XP will not be preserved. Just use one of the many keyfinders on the web and write the XP key down in a safe location then you will be able to go back with a clean installation of XP.
