If not for a 7th inning error by Hanley, CK would have had a perfecto.

Still, a no hitter with 15K is pretty damn good!!

Thats two no-no's for the Dodgers in a month!

We need a new name for games that were perfectly pitched (ie no hits, no walks, no hit by pitch, no wild pitch on 3rd strike ect...) but not perfect games. I'll put this down as a perfect game in my non existent book.

I perfect game is defined by not letting a batter reach first base. So no, we don't need another term.

I'm still hoping that he pitches an interesting game, although I don't think one of those has happened yet in baseball.

Really man? http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/the-most-perfect-non-perfect-game/

The man reached on error. I can understand that perfect games often require good or even great defensive plays from time to time, but there is nothing he could do to improve his team chances short of finding a better defensive SS.

This is basically the second most dominate pitching game in MLB history.

So yes, it was a no hitter. No, it was not a perfect game. It was better than all but one perfect game since 1912.

As the article points out, the only really true 'perfect game' would be for a pitcher to strike out every batter he faced.

Funny thing is Hanley Ramirez should have ruined Anibal Sanchez's no hitter a couple years ago. He double clutched a ground ball right to him, he threw to first and was late but the ump still called the runner out. Usually those get ruled as a hit.
