Classical! Music for "squares"

I love Classical music, however I don't really have a very broad taste. I only have a few songs that I like and there's so many out there I've never really known what to go after. I'm sure some of you people out there love classical music and can recommend some for me...
 
Strange as it may seem, you could really do with checking out some of Nobou Uematsu's music (He's the musician for Squaresoft, home of the Final Fantasy series) .. not QUITE classical I'll admit, but most of his music has been professionally reproduced by orchestra, and it's great light listening.
