Here's a novel idea:
Nintendo stops re-releasing old games or making sequels to existing games and actually comes up with something completely original for the first time in 10 years!

Oh, you mean something like Pikmin.

I may be the only on this end of the post, but here goes:

1. Bases Loaded (loved the pitcher view, so few games use it, even today)
2. Blades of Steel (winning the fight keeps you out of the penalty! Wahooo!

Those are the ones I really enjoyed, would love those again.

What other ideas are possible? Like hollywood, the gaming industry has run out of ideas.

Ooh, definitely Blades of Steel... I mean BLADES OF STEEL <CHING!> I still have that announcer's voice from the opening screen stuck in my head.

Actually, for baseball games, I loved the SNK one, um, Baseball All-Stars I think it was? It was the game where you bought players and could trade 'em.

Baseball Stars. That was the greatest baseball game for the NES. You played games and won money that you used to upgrade your players. If I am not mistaken, it was the first BB game where you could create your own player too.

Nintendo is not the only guilty party, but I consider them to be the worst offenders (Megaman Blue, Megaman Green, Megaman Fuschia, Megaman Monochrome, Megaman MCMLXVII, Megaman Bros, Super Megaman Brothers, Super Megaman Kong, Super Megaman Racer, Megaman Racer Advance,

those games were made by capcom... nice try though. Also nearly every game released today is just a rehash of a similer game in the genre, Nintendo just chooses to use characters people know and love already 😉

Battletoads (cant stress this enough!)
Super Mario Bros (None of this 3d Crap lets get back to the original view)
Blades of Steel
Temco Super Bowl
Base Wars (When steeling a base if tagged out you fight to see if your safe how great is that?)
Duck Hunt (New light gun needed too cause light guns are too cool)
Contra
Mega Man

Theres 100 more I could list but these are some of my favs, I might post back with more.

Cobra Triangle would be awesome fully rendered in 3D. Faxanadu wasn't a bad game either.

If ever a game deserved a sequel and never got one, Faxanadu has to be among them.

I would like to see new versions of:

Duck Hunt
1942
Gradius
Lifeforce
Bionic Commando
RC ProAM
Castlevannia (a better version than SOTN or even 3d)

Megaman is coming to the GC... there are screenshots of it.. known as RocketMan in japan
Link scroll down to about midway and you'll see the screenshots

Oh god, TNMT would bring back nostalgia like never before. I couldn't resist that game. A Super Mario Bros. game with the depth and variety of Mario 3 would also rule. My number one pick however would be a new, very involving Megaman game.

I miss SNES games, like Mario with clean graphics but a non 3D environment. WWF Wrestlemainia where you saw spit and hair fly around when you threw a punch, and how guys would drool and squint their eyes when you were kicking them on the ground. God that game was fun, they dubed grusome real life sounds, so if you jumped off the side of a ring, missed your opponent and hit the mat you would hear loudest most body crunching crack you've ever heard, it was so loud you would think the guy should have gone straight through the mat! Nothing like seeing Hulk Hogan getting body slammed by Grave Digger in 2D, hilarious.
