Classic console question

I have a sega genesis along with a sega cd that hook up together to form some sort of twisted transformer system. I grew up on nintendo, so this is my first time working with these guys. The genesis is fine & boots up on the first try. The cd system requires an extra 9v brick, but everything works there. Here's my problem. How do you eject the cd. I have Joe Montana football in there & he keeps tormenting me. Someone on another forum said that the reset button ejects it, but that doesn't work. I don't want to force the tray open, but I did nudge it a little & it seems pretty set in its place.

If I remember correctly, the Sega CD had a button on the front of the lip. You press it on the top would open and you grab the CD from the spindle.

Yeah, I thought it would have something like that. Only thing I saw was a lock on the left side. I'm thinking that is to keep both consoles secured together, as it doesn't seem to do anything.
