With there being no northbridge to integrate a GPU onto, and no GPU built into the CPU for nehalem quads (until sandy bridge), what is intel going to push for graphics on clarksfield cores? Larabee won't be out until well after clarkfield launches.

A discrete X4500MHD type chip, or do you think they'll push nVidia/AMD graphics (since both are competitors)?

Well - just a guess here - since Intel has filed suit against nVidia claiming they cannot create chipsets for Nehalem - I doubt it will be nVidia GPUs.

And since Intel seems to be building a coffin around AMD these days I seriously doubt they would throw them a bone like that.

So either a discrete chip or they simply won't bother. Of course, it is kind of a glaring oversight, because in servers you really don't want to have to add a separate GPU (extra power consumption/heat/cost) that isn't needed for anything intensive.

While the same problem applies to gainestown, what in my asking specifically about a MOBILE chip suggested I wanted a SERVER based answer?

Leaving the GPU out isn't an option. So I'll repeat. What do we expect them to do?
