i just installed a creative labs geforce 2 gts card... the annihilator 2 model. i can't get everquest to run now.
i've tried using the detonator 3 drivers (which are recommended). i've tried using the standard drivers that come with the disc and also the updated ones on the CL site.
each time i install the drivers i unstall all prior drivers.
afterwards i reinstall dx8a.
i've reinstalled the game even. i'm getting a black screen and lock up after i hit the server screen (if any of you play)
what i think the problem might be, is left over 3dfx files. i uninstalled them all, but i still found many files left over. the place where my comp is freezing is where i used to have the 3dfx splash screen, so that is why i believe the old files are the problem.
so, what can i do now? thoughts? i really dont want to resort to good o'l reformat.
im running p3 700, 256ram, on cable, mx300 sound card.
