Civilization 3 question

Hey.

My friend and I just found Civ 3 complete. It's a great game, but we can't figure out how to make the game last beyond 2050 in multiplayer.

Anyone know how? Anyone else play this?

That might be the built in timelimit. There might be mods or cracks that will extend this. I'd check civfanatics.com. Anyway, how'd you guys last to 2050 without killing each other?

Go under options, I'm pretty sure there is something that lets you turn that off. I know there is an option in there somewhere, you don't have to download anything. 🙂

thats a hard call, after mastering civ2 its just not AS fun anymore...
civ 3 and its better AI (with the patch that is) is much much harder.
I have yet to meet someone who beat it on the hardest level (sid i think)

And they screwed things up with the tiles and the underwater/space areas.

Civ3 is what Civ2 should have been, they returned to the roots of Civ1 and went from there.

Civ3>>>Civ2.

In any case, I have high hopes for civ4, which should bo out in 2k6, IIRC.

But in direct response to the OP, no, I don't believe it's possible. Besides, you guys must really suck if you can't get done w/ the game by 2050 😛

Probably waiting to attack eachother until the CPU players are wiped out and not doing the space race. A Domination game like that could go on a while.

Even then. If you progress at a decent pace you should have cavalry by the 1600's at the latest and then if you wipe out your opponents one civ at a time, you should have no problem finishing by the 2050's
