civil service test

I took one for the State of Kentucky civil service. I'm don't recall what was on it but I recall it took longer to fill out the personal info section than it took to answer all the test questions.
 
All civil service exams are basically can you read and comprehend? There are many other factors that are much more important than your score on the test such as are you a veteran, minority, disability and, have you worked for the government before?
 
..all kinds of books and guides out there and now the net. mine was written and panel interview.
