I don't care how much faster a Camaro is than a Civic because my thread is not saying "Can a Civic smoke a Camaro in a Race?" Now if Valhalla and Cablegod didn't come on my thread bashing Civic's, then I wouldn't be pissed right now. But you guys come in and want to talk sh!t, then I am fighting back.... Simple as that.

I know where you're coming from man, but the cars are in 2 different leagues in terms of performance. A lot of work would have to be done to get a Civic (a family Sedan) up to the standards of a sports car. Not to mention the reliability factor after you mod it. There's too many people out there with too much pride for their cars, I get people thinking that they can smoke my CSX (when I get it in 3 weeks ) with a 140HP Civic! And don't get me wrong, it's with every car company. Similarly, there's people with V6 Cavaliers that think they're hot $hit too, it just doesn't make sense.

I wouldn't be mad if I posted a thread about Civic's Vs. Camaro's. But I was simply trying to find out some Si owners here on the boards and possibly see there configurations and some pictures. Then here come the big boys talkin bout "Rice this, Rice that, V8 this, V8 that, 30lbs of torque on a Civic, etc., etc." I didn't want to hear any of that crap.

genocide: I see what you're saying. I simply want a Civic Si for my personal pleasure. I don't want an Si to go out there thinkin I am gonna make it faster than Camaro's. I honestly could care less about Camaro's cause no one drives em around here anyway, they are not popular at all. I prefer to race cars in my class, which would be other civic's, integra's, accord's, etc. I didn't come on here talkin sh!t about how a Civic is faster than a Camaro, nor did I even mention or compare anything about any domestic cars. I just wanted to see some Civic Si owners and they're setups. I don't want you guys to think I hate you all now, I am just upset that you gonna ask me "Why am I bashing American cars?" when you guys come in here (uninvited) talkin about how much a Civic is rice or whatever. I could care less if you call our cars chicken noodles, call it what you want... Just keep it to yourself.

Ever hear of the Z06 or the Cobra R?

The new NSX may have 400hp. Sure that would beat all domestics(minus the Viper). But how much would you have to spin to do that? 80k. So the only car honda makes that is faster than a Mustang GT or a F-body, is 80k. BTW I get good gas mileage with my Mustang and it is tuned with a JMS chip to run on 93 octane with bumped timing and running leaner.

In all fairness Millenium, a new Viper will run you 75k at least, and its a hell of a lot heavier than the NSX. If I remember correctly, an NSX is around 2700-2800lbs. Stuff 400hp into that and you got yourself a rocket.

EDIT - ack, I was a little off, they're ~3050lbs, still a good 400lbs less than the Viper tho

Ok I am just getting upset cause I don't care about your gay Camaro. Take you and your Camaro, win all the races you want, beat every car in every race, and I can care less. The car is ugly as hell, and thats why no one has one. You think if a goddamn Camaro was such a good car for the price, then how come no one has one?!?! Why would people chose to buy a $20K Integra over a Camaro if the Camaro is such a better and faster car?! Cause everyone knows American cars are a POS and they guzzle gas. You can tell me all about your stupid custom computer that help you get good gas mileage and I could care less, a Honda gives you good gas mileage out the box. As for spending $80K on an NSX... I sure as hell rather be driving one of those than a Camaro, cause I don't care how fast a Camaro is, the new NSX is gonna be faster and the sh!t will grab more attention than any Camaro. If you ask me, a Camaro is just an excuse for not being able to afford the real cars out there that are just as fast but all cost $50K and above. Cause as you can see the Camaro is the only car that has 300HP and is cheap, every other car that has 300HP is a good quality car and cost a hell of alot more than $20K. So there is a reason why its only $20K for 300HP, and like I said before... Its because the Camaro offers nothing else but an engine.

Nah more like 65k...but anyways... the NSX would get mauled by a Z06 with a power-adder or a Cobra R with a power-adder.

Mill, the price quote on Dodges site lists the base RT/10 as 73k, but in reality you're right, 65k sounds about right to me. I was thinking that off the top of my head cause I was on their site at work while I was bored
