Ok, so I just went and got the game at Fry's and I've got this big huge map all in French. Someone hates me.

Ordered the collector's edition from Outpost, but I don't think I'll start playing until December, after I graduate.

Great game so far.

dont you think its a bit fast-paced now? i feel like everything is rush rush rush

you can change the game speed, if you change it to "epic" if feels more liek civ3, normal seems to fast and fast is just insane

I've been playing and this game is buggy as hell. Any ideas on patch releases? I enjoy the game but having all the guys go away then flash back, then go away...same with the menus, the terrain goes all black, the graphics turn all red/green when clicking on certain in game menus, and list can go on. I think I got screwed cause I've got the french item map and my cd's are misprinted (cd2 says it's the play disc).

i got the french tech tree and my CDs are miss matched however thats the only issue i currently have with it, you can go to the site and they will send you an english tech tree dealie, you just gotta fill out your info

im more of less bug free, only thing that kills it is alt+tabing, however because i run a dual monsetup the mouse doesnt get locked into 1 monitor when i play certian games, so if i just go over to the other one and click, civ will minamize to tray and start back up with absoutly no issues

What's up with this game supporting dual monitors? All of the pre-release info said it had built in dual monitor support, but I haven't found any way to play other than on one monitor. I was kind of hoping to use the python scripting to put the map on one monitor and all of the help/statistics or even the interface/civlopedia on the other.

So far I've been too busy playing the game to try and figure it out.

Wow the memories of the original Civ... good thing I quit computer games, college requires more time of me... 😛

yeah i need to put down the games or my college grades will suffer..

But civ1 ruled. Lets see...I was in.....4th grade? Yes I believe i was playing Civ1 in fourth grade and god did i love it. I had a floppy disk i would bring to the schools computer lab and play all the time.

Dont mess with the zulus man...they will always mess you up.

Mmmmmm, Civ IV is good. Played a couple of multiplayer games over the weekend with friends and family. My life as I know it is over!
