City of Chicago: Please stop giving me tickets

The $90 red light ticket & now the parking ticket... DAMNIT! Time to make another Money order.

Don't you just love those letters that you get in the mail that state that you didn't park correctly in the spot you were in and then didn't pay the fine so they added another fine to it?

You could always try to follow the rules and obey the laws... but, I have this feeling that you are one of those that think they are above rules and laws and like to whine to the world about how the city is screwing up and they are doing nothing wrong.

mythbusters tested that and some other products. the only thing that prevented the camera from seeing the license plate was driving at a speed of over 300 mph or something like that.

True that. They also tested these lenses that you put over your plate to distort the image. I think that one actually worked, but it's illegal. So yeah, stop breaking the law if you dont want tickets.

1. I'm not above the law.
2. destrekor: Thanks for the laugh.

A speed camera cannot see through a lenticular lens plate cover.

busted

While designed to distort the plate from an angle, all or most of the letters of the plate were still identifiable in the tests. Also, the legality of such a device was questioned.

Taken from here. It only distorted a letter or two, but they said it was illegal, and they can perform a search on a license plate based on only some of the letters so the person would be busted anyways.

I could distort a couple letters on my car, take off the badges, and they would be like... WTF is that thing?

Right now people still ask me what my car is and it has the badges on.... some people can't read.
