Citizens United for a Decent Internet calls for Walmart Boycott

Citizens United for a Decent Internet (CUDI) joins with the American Decency Association (ADA) in calling for a boycott of Wal-Mart due to their brazen selling of soft-core pornography (which is just a gateway to hard-core pornography such as child porn and snuff films) in plain sight of minors. This pornography -- which includes the Sports Illustrated "Swimsuit" Edition and Cosmopolitan -- needs to be removed from the supposedly "family-friendly" store chain, and we feel that the threat of economic punishment in the form of a boycott will help Wal-Mart see the error of their ways. While the ADA is focusing on physical Wal-Mart stores, we at CUDI will be handling Wal-mart's online store, which not only lets creeps and pedophiles purchase a wider range of soft-core porn (and seemingly harmless magazines such as American Cheerleader which only fuel their perversion) in secrecy without having to face public disapproval, but also lets minors make purchases using a parent's credit card with no attempt at age verification.

Please do your part for decency by not doing business with Wal-mart, and make sure you write or let their employees know why it is you are boycotting them.
Good grief LOL

Link It's about 3/4's of the way down on the page. They are also pissed at Walmart for selling "Naked" Computers as in Computers with "Linix" on it that can be used to have Software filters..LOL:)

"soft-core pornography (which is just a gateway to hard-core pornography such as child porn and snuff films)"

Yeah, getting married is also a gateway to sexually abusing your kids.

Although it is interesting that they stock Cosmo, etc but not FHM, etc.

How exactly is a store supposed to verify someone's age OVER THE INTERNET? They can't even do that over the PHONE, for Jesus "Wally" Christ's sake.

WTF? SI and Cosmo are now porn?! Welcome to crazytown. :|

EDIT: This group just supports my theory that only Christian busy-bodies have this much time on their hands. Hell, I don't like Wal-Mart either, but do you see me organizing boycotts? No. No, you don't. And the whole thing about "naked PCs" is just retarded. Perhaps this group needs to do some more research before posting such ignorant drivel.

They started this action 04/05/2002.

Walmart.com is still up and working - this group must not be as effective as they think.

Yeah, DM, they have people showing bare ankles and forearms. Horrors.

Edit: Oh, and SI is a way for gays to fulfill their perversions by seeing pictures of athletic men, as we all know

The more I read of this site, the more I think that it's some elaborate joke.

Yah, I'm pretty sure it is a joke. For instance:

The ACLU, normally used to getting its way through legal intimidation, were shocked when they learned that their hacker clients decided to settle. "I am just stunned!" said ACLU lawyer Hans Chrisen, "We were excited that we could use this case to set precedent giving children more rights than their parents. Now that our clients have double-crossed us, we may have to sue them instead."

I mean, come on now...
