I got a Citizen watch, the BL5150, with a bunch of features (solar, chronograph, perpetual calendar, 2 time zones...) 2 months ago from bluedial.com (I think).
But I looked at it yesterday, and noticed the second hand is stuck pointing down, but it still keeps time.
I guess I'll have to call Citizen on monday.

Sounds too logical -- shouldn't you be asking us for advice on how to repair it yourself? My suggestion: pour water on it.

I have a Citizen watch too. I do know that it is taken out of the light for a certain amount of time the second hand is supposed to stop, but at 0 (12) position until its put under light again. Its a power saving feature. But you watch may be defective for not starting back up.

No, it's still under warrenty, so I'm pretty sure I don't want to mess with it. And it's waterproof! ;)

And I have experienced this alot, but it is stopped opposite where it should be.
It's just kind of ironic that my watch that "never needs a battery" and is supposed to be almost maintance free is broken.

Update (not that anyone cares;))- It started working yesterday but was pointing the wrong direction for chronograph, then stopped.
Today it stopped, and started but was also messed up.

'nother update- I called Citizen today. They said they would need me to mail it in, and they will most likely replace the movement.
Now I have a choice send it in (and have them open it), or live with it? I think I'm going to send it in.
Any thoughts?

Is this a stopwatch too? I have a Citizen Promaster WR100 Chrono and the same thing happened to me. There's a combination of the pulling the crown out to a certain "stop" and the start/stop/reset buttons that resets the second hand. Lemme try and find the link...

There was a local jewelry store that went out of business a few years ago. I baught a citizen and a pulsar watch for cheap. The palsar watch lasted for 5 or 6 years with everyday use, but the citizen watch died within a year or two and I very rarely wore it. I was surprised because I thought the citizen was the better watch. Good luck with it. I would send it back and let them repair it.

Yes it is, and I think what you are looking for is the zero-position check. You get to it by pulling the crown out to the second positition
in crono mode, and it only checks, not resets.
Thanks for looking, but I think it is a defect.
I just was asking because I have heard that the seals are never the same after you (or they) open it once, but they told me they repressureize and inspect it after they are done.
