Citibank asked for school proof, so I got a CapitalOne *come in*

I've heard that regardless of how much balance you have with C1, they will put down your credit utilization as 100% in order to lower your credit score and thus protect their customers from being "poached" by competitors.

Capital One sucks. I applied for their card because I wanted a Visa card, and the only other one I had was Discover when I was starting out. C1 gave me a whopping $300 limit, when Discover had given me ~2k I think. Frankly, I've never even used the C1 card because if I use my card, its likely I'm getting some computer stuff or something with it, and 300 bucks is crap. I called and told them I had no intentions of using it because the limit was low, and could they raise it. They said that I needed to have it for at least a year before they would look at limit increases. I've never used it yet. Heh, I should probably call and cancel it or something. After awhile I managed to get the Citibank Dividends card and thats all I use now. Just my $.02.
