The issue is more complex then that.

No, it is an entitlement issue. Your parents ruined you. You want to complain? Go protest at your parent's house for giving you sixth place ribbons and buying you ice cream even when you lost. I'll support your right to protest then. I feel bad that your parents didn't teach you life wasn't fair and you have to actually earn your place in life. You were a victim, but like all victims, you need to suck it up and persevere. Do better with your kids. Remind them that life is what YOU make of it, not what people give you.

I love how its all about me when you post

in your idiocy you have created this strawman to fight and hate, congratulations.

Bookmarking all these "revolution" comments to throw it back in people's faces when the fleabaggers go home broken in two weeks time.

Cute

If there is any good that will come out of these protests, it will be shorter lines at job fairs and fewer resumes that HR has to read through. The people getting jobs will be the ones that kept on pushing when the rest of the people gave up and decided to stand around parks complaining that they can't find a job.

You should look into their arguments more then. They are complaining about more then just jobs.

But why do that eh? Its best to be divided. I can tell you that there is singularity in the top .01% thats for sure. All the peasants fighting each other and hating each other is exactly how you stay on top.

I'm not the 1% or the 99%; I'm the 110% that it takes to make it in the real world.

Look, butthead, if the tide comes in you'll be swept aside. You're stupid egotistical opinions won't mean shit and you know it then.

I'm not even sure how to reply, when nothing that you post makes any sense(seriously, reread your posts). I used to smoke pot too and it robbed me of any ambition. You should stop for a month or two and learn to deal with life sober.

Winter is coming long before the tide. Trust fund fleabaggers wont make it past early November with NY weather. Winds are cold downtown.

I dont look down. I just see someone who has accepted shit and is demanding all these people go be migrant fruit workers instead of trying to better their situation through democracy. I can tell you who I think is more intelligent but I think you probably know.

Yeah, doesn't sound like you're looking down on them at all.... 🙄

How about you look at how 80% of the world lives and feel very, very lucky instead of looking at how 1% of the world lives and feeling inadequate and slighted?

Arrogance is like a poorly trained vicious attack dog, that can, in an instant, turn on the owner who used that dog abusively and thus suffer the same fate of the ones the owner was victimizing.

Arrogance, in it's selfish, myopic short-sightedness, makes the wielder of it ignore the fact that nothing is guaranteed.

Just ask those former at-will middle managers in their 40-50's, who sat high and mighty over their vast domain and suddenly, through "no fault of their own", lost their jobs and have tried for what seems like forever to get a similar job with similar pay and horrifically failed.

All the bridges they built and partially burned to get where they were are gone. All the coat tails they latched onto and rode into power with are gone. All the support they carefully cultivated and insulated themselves with is gone. Everything is gone. Even the infinite energy that youth provides and of which they relied on to work 12-14 hrs a day to get ahead is gone.

Too bad for them huh? Well, arrogance can make us forget that any job, no matter how high up or powerful, does not have a life-time guarantee attached to it.

To those who feel they are the special ones, the very few lucky ones that will never suffer the same fate of those unfortunate victims of circumstances that they now ridicule, scoff at and lay their ignorance-driven arrogance upon, I say to you, cease and desist. What goes around comes around....with a vengeance.😛

agree, All Americans are very lucky. Even the bums have it pretty good by comparison. Homeless shelters, free church food giveaways, then of course theres the govt help programs.

shit, life's awesome here guys. if your reading this you eve have a computer, prolly got a cell phone too...nah, this country is kingsville compared to millions of people elsewhere.

In this toilet bowl world some Americans find themselves luckily afloat on a turd but they forgot to throw a lifeline out to their fellows. Now the drowning have pushed the lever and we see the water beginning to spin.

of course life is awesome here. Noone is saying it isnt. However it is awesome here because of the balance of a strong middle class. If you look at any third world country you will see the natural progression of the trends in this country. Massive wealth at the top and nothing at the bottom.

A few dozen hipsters removing their 100 bucks from their bank accounts. I'm sure the banks are quivering in their boots. It doesn't matter if someones being disruptive or not a bank is private property. If they don't want someone there then they must leave.

Im in the process of moving money out of boa. I'm going to my credit union (first entertainment) and by the end of next month all of my money will be moved to the cu. 7% interest on the first $500 in your savings, free checking, all the bill pay stuff, up to 10 savings accounts per account.

Yeah I would say the banks are entitled to profits as much as I am entitled to them and thats to say I'm not entitled to shit but people here seem to think banks and corporations should be entitled to whatever the government gives them. They love the militay too and they hate the medicaids, welfares and infrastructure of the government. Makes no sense.

You make sense as far as raising security concerns go. I can see where the bad guys can take advantage of any kind of distraction in the bank itself to make uhhh, "unauthorized withdrawals" and such.

However, the bank's "justified" paranoia over security concerns apparently led them to over-react in ways that definetely will affect their public image in a bad way. Maybe with cooler heads prevailing in this uncommon occurrence the whole blow-out about it could have been avoided.

This confrontation didn't only affect the customers who were there to make an appparently non-violent public display in protest over BOA's fee policies by withdrawing their supposed "measley" deposits en masse that you may be erroneously assuming to make your point. IMO, what happened at the bank just made BOA's relationship with it's customers worse still, and encourages other customers who were fence sitters to take action because of it. What happened there, if it's publicized enough with the "right" spin, can lead to a snow ball effect that could produce the run on deposits that BOA is trying its best to avoid.

The product that all banks sell is trust and confidence. BOA is right about at the tipping point of having losing theirs. Through their actions they may just have started the slow motion panic and ire that could trigger other more damaging events for them and banking in general.

We are the next Jamaica maybe?

edit: What you said reminded me of this song. This type of thing goes beyond skin color, but the meanings are identical.

Are you referring to the Citibank incident? Calling 911 on a bunch of disorderlies probably won't destroy Citibank's trust to anybody but a bunch of wannabe revolutionists who were (supposedly) going to withdraw their account anyway.

I bet what I alone have in Citi would match what at least 100 the occupants of Zuccotti Park could do combined. Then again, a lot of them *are* trust fund babies so maybe not.

Going to take my money out of BofA. Actually people who don't like bailouts should take their money out of any too big to fail bank to make that bank smaller. Less deposits, less liability for FDIC if the bank fails.
