At the end of the sentence what do i put in the ( ) to refer to the citation?

A) google "citation machine" it's a great resource

B) don't use wikipedia for an assignment/citation EVER! It is not an academic source in the slightest and you'll be marked accordingly

ok, i think i got it.

If i put it as a footnote

I can put at the end of the sentence just a number

example
ATOT seems to be the best ever according to pc world (1).

I got that, but you but the Citation at the end of the paper, how do you refer back to it while in the body of the essay?
You put Parenthesis ( ) what goes inside?
it goes (Author's lastname, Authors first name)

What, you never put an author?s first name. As a rule of thumb (one of the few there are) You pick the first thing in the works cited for that source. You should be able to look at the parenthetical documentation an know exactly what source was used. For Wikipedia, I'd use the author?s name/sn if you had it or the article title if you don't. Because it is an article, if you use the article for the parenthetical remember to put it in quotes. Another thing, because it's online, do not use page numbers.

In short your PD should look like (drinkmorejava) or ("My Article")

It varies by field. In scientific cites the format is usually:
(Abbot, 1999) for a single author.
(Abbot and Costello, 1999) for two authors.
(Abbot et al., 1999) for three or more authors.

If you cite more than one paper by the same authors that were published in the same year:
(Abbot et al., 1999a)
(Abbot et al., 1999b) where 1999a is the first of the two papers by the same authors cited in your paper and 1999b is the second. In other words, the reference to 1999a appears in your paper before the reference to 1999b regardless of the actual order of publication in 1999.
