Senate won't vote on CISPA. Has their own bill in the works.

Still no main stream coverage. Except for the barrage of stories trying to brainwash us into believe we NEED cybersecurity and the only way to do that is to destroy the internet and give the telecommunication industry total control and power.

Original Post:
No major news corporations have a single article on it.
Want to know? CNET, The Gaurdian, WIRED, PC World are the only journalist with the balls to publish something about it.

Everyone is too distracted by the heartwarming stories of the Yankees playing "Sweet Caroline" to realize that those do-nothing fucktards in Congress slipped this right under our noses.

They can only pass bills that give themselves more money or are the worst possible thing for America. This one is the latter, though I am sure somehow those clowncocks are going to make money off of it.

Fuck CISPA. Fuck you Congress. Prepare for the fury of the Internet. Part 2.

I keep telling people that gun control & Boston was a false flag to distract people from this bill.

Well, to their defense, we are at war and at war times personal rights and privileges are often revoked... I don't see a huge out cry from internet users to stop China from attacking US govt and private properties... I don't see anonymous hacking China and asking them to stop... US needs to defect itself, we don't want another Nortel, many are in the making I must warn you...
So yes, I am OK with govt having access to my private data and some companies misusing it in the name of this law as long as govt is trying to fight and protect us from intruders.

Well this bill does none of that. All it does is give more power to the telecommunication companies.
It will never make us safer. It is, like it always is, simply a bill to make lobbyist and the people/corporations they represent more money.

From another thread on another site:
Why not start off by asking them about Rep Mike Rogers and his wife Krisiti Clemens and how much money they will make if his CISPA passes... Considering her brand new career as a lobbyist for Cyber Defense contractors and her former Employment with Aegis a Cyber Defense contractor recently awarded a 10 Billion dollar contract...

Yes, let's not kid ourselves. These kind of bills are never passed to defend the country. They are passed to give more power and money to the select few and are generally used to abuse and control the population rather than protect them.

You saw how the Internet nerds freaked out about SOPA... probably think the Gov is out to take away their piracy. It may be true, but still.

The Democrats could vote no symbolically in the House because they knew it would pass thanks to Republican shitstains and their Wars On Everything.

It will pass in the Senate with flying colors.

Obama won't veto it, because that cockmonger wants it as much as anybody.

I look forward to this country failing completely. The US gets exactly what it deserves, bunch of fatass TV watching morons.

This is why I'm baffled by complaints about congress not doing anything.

Just look at what they do do. And people want more of that?

Shot down? If only that were true.

The STOCK Act passed when it was an election year. Now that those fucks are safe for a few years, they intentionally went back and gutted it, almost unanimously.

Want to know why terrorists kill civilians instead of politicians? Because killing politicians would actually be doing us a favor.

Shot down means a bill can't get enough support to pass. If the original STOCK Act were shot down, it could be written off as apathy.

This recent change to the law was active animosity towards the American people. There's no apathy here, it's congress thinking that they are in fact royalty and acting like rulers instead of representatives. This was an attack against those they are supposed to represent.

Does not suprise me. they are sneaky like this and did no purpose to sneak this through when nobody is paying attention. It was bound to happen. Copyright extremism is not something you can really stop unfortunately.

how could any person that even CLAIMS to be republican vote for this bill? it effectively turns every private entity in the country into a government snoop- LEGALLY!.

this is the most anti-republican thing that republicans have ever voted for. this massively increases the size and power of government.

be thankful we have a smart president who has beefs to grind. I bet he is salivating on waiting for this bill to get to his desk so he can veto it.

You really don't know anything about Republicans, do you?

Maybe a quote I often post will help you:

"Politicians have to LOOK good to voters, and DO good for donors".

You haven't noticed what they SAY and what they DO don't match yet?

Could, say, the decades they have won elections by TALKING about the very popular cause of 'balancing the budget' and 'fiscal responsbility' while they skryocket debt help you?

Republicans couldn't get elected without many voters who vote for them falling for the sales pitch who are 'SHOCKED' when the actual governing doesn't match the pitch.
