Cisco Errors

I just got a new Cisco 3550 w/2 GBIC slots. I've got 2-G5484 SX GBICs that give me errors when I put them in the slots. Here's what I get:
%GBIC-6-SERDES_SERIAL_INV_DATA: Unrecognizable GBIC found in Gi0/1 (serial data 0xFF)
%GBIC_SECURITY-4-VN_DATA_CRC_ERROR: GBIC interface Gi0/2 has bad crc

What is wrong with these? Could I have two bad GBICs? Where can I look for more information? Thanks.

YOu'll need this if you plan to call them😉
