Cisco Catalyst 2900 problem...

For anyone familiar with the consoling in process:

This is a really lame question, but this is the first time I've plugged one of these devices in and tried to work with it... I get through the boot-up phase almost completely (viewing with hyperterminal), but the switch gets to a certain point and then just stops... it asks:

"Continue with configuration dialogue? [yes/no]: "

It seems to stop responding to the keyboard at this point... answering "y", "n", "yes", "no", and even ctrl-c doesn't help... and I've rebooted it several times with the same result each time...

Any clues what might be causing this and/or how to fix it so the switch will continue booting? Thanks in advance for the help...

make sure you are using the right cable (a rollover cable) and a cisco 9-pin<--->rj45 adapter.

Set your terminal to 9600, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit.
