K, right now I'm a senior in highschool (school starts tomarrow), and am planning on taking Networking as a carrer. My only problem is, what to do? I'm studying and finishing my CCNA this year, and eventually hope to get CCIE. Should I still go to college for, say, networking specialist? I have a chance at a co-op with a local, yet large company, but it would messup the stuff that I have been saving to do in my senior year, yet I'll get experience and pay. Suggestions? I'm not going into all this for money, I'm doing it because I enjoy networking. I have a side job as a computer repair tech, but it's slow right now.

BTW, this is my first post on the AT Forums 🙂

Get your CCNA if you can via the high school course, but go to COLLEGE. College is a blast, a way to meet more people and it creates an almost unlimited job opportunities.

That is the scary part, I've read almost 14,000 pages of networking books and novels this summer, yet I still can't spell to save my life. Thanks for the replays, I went and looked at some of the brochures for courses at a local tech college, and found one where I may have it halfway finished already, if what I did here will count. Then I can use the transfer program here to move to another college that offers more.

Definetely make the trip to college. Not just for the degree, but the experience too. I can't count how many people I've networked with through programs here on campus. Do it.
