Cisco 3550

("Write erase") <--optional, but recommended if this is not the first implementation of this switch (aka "Start From Scratch")

interace group fa0/1-fa0/24

spantree portfast (enable portfast, so that the port is available by the time the PC gets around to asking for a DHCP address)

give it management information (IP, mask, gateway) so you can telnet to it.

Try again

******** NOTE: ONLY DISABLE SPANNING TREE ON PORTS THAT ARE "FER SHER" CONNECTED TO A COMPUTER<<<<<>>>>> DO NOT DISABLE SPANNING TREE ON ANY PORT GOING TO ANOTHER NETWORK DEVICE ************

Good Luck

Scott

I already did that, the users can access 2K Servers and DC's, Unix boxes and AS400 boxes too. But only 2 users can access a Netware server.
Any Ideas?

Sorry, I um, missed the "Netware" part of the sentance 😱 .

What rev of code are you running? VLANs? Have you tried other workstations on the two ports that are successfully connecting to the Netware servers? (i.e, is it port related ? ) Any trunks? (ISL, 802.1q) Aggregated channels (Etherchannel/fast Etherchannel)? Priorities (802.1p)? Neat NIC tricks (teaming, redundancies, etc)?

Sumday I'll go to school and learn to reed and rite..... 😉 .

let us know

Scott
