Cisco 2501 router question

I am a very lucky little kid. Just got a cisco 2501 router from an auction. Does anyone know how to clear the password. I called the previous owner(the cooperation at least), and the router was configured by a sys admin they fired, and he never told them anything like the passwords, guess that was a tense relatioship. Anyways, does anyone know how I can clear the password or just reset the whole thing.

Also, how much do these usually cost used. I have seen around $2000 used. I got mine at a business that was closings auction. My dad was there buying pnumatic machinery or something and I stumbled along this for $50.

good job on the password recovery by the way. You really need to know that procedure to be sucessfull in networking/cisco world.

<edit> ps - make sure you remember that password recovery and can do it in your sleep.

$2000 for a 2501. may what kind of crack addict would pay that. maybe a few hundred depending on flash/mem.

You go ahead and offer him RUSS. I can't think of anymore ways to mesh my 7 routers + 1 frame switch at home.

Damn OSPF<--->EIGRP<--->BGP redistribution (yes, plenty of redistribution feedback loops to go along). Drivin me crazy with all the converted metrics and different convergence times. Arghhhhhhh. Can't sleep....must...figure...this.....sh!t....out!!!!!!!!!!!!
