Cisco 1700 Question

We've got an old 1700 that no longer needs to do ISDN duty. I was going to purchase a WAN WIC for it and use it as a backup router/VPN for offsite site-to-site vpns.

I do VPN with PIXs all the time, but I've never tried to terminate one with a normal router. Do I need to buy any license or a certain feature pack?

Will it do pptp/l2tp? or IPSEC only?

Do a sh ver to see what IOS you are running then find it on Cisco CCO and see what features your current IOS provides. 1750's do IPSec, not sure about the other stuff.

oop's, I work with 1750's and just got that stuck in my mind. 1720 do support PPTP, and the rest of my first post applies.

Actually the big expo center here in Baton Rouge, la (The River Center) has a sweet setup.

Each booth gets a cable modem of their own with two external IP's. I use one for a VPN router + Wyse thin clients to a terminal server. The other hooks directly to a Laserjet 2300DN so our back office can print stuff directly to the people in the booth.
