at ecost.com. 'Course, at ecost, there's the added $7.95 "handling" fee on top of shipping (which was about $10 for me)

Shows 2 in stock and I bought one (to go with another I have at home already) it still shows 2...soooo.....

The switch is not manageable. It will work as a standard autosensing switch. No SNMP, no VLAN, no IOS. Still a decent price for a Cisco.

I prefer my catalyst 5000 though...I can choke, I mean throttle anyone in my house I want to🙂...sorry, bad pun.
 
Hadn't heard of a recall. I have a 1548U at home I've been using for about a year and it's been fine. Being not a managed switch has never been a concern since there's not a lot of traffic 🙂
