LOL, you can't. I've looked into it. How exactly do I "prove" I would have more sensitivity if I had remained uncut? Now if I had been completely amputated of my wang-dinger (since ATOTs love to read odd terms I used that one) THEN I could have sued or my parents. However, a little extra blood and a little extra pain mean nothing as long as I turn out "normal" by society standards means I can't sue. Trust me, others have tried and all have failed do to certain "clauses" in the medical field.

Same thing with TRUE hermaophrodites that are born both male and female. Did you know doctors FORCE one gender role without parental consent when this happens? They automatically do one form of plastic surgery or another to fit them into a "role" for society. I got a few big thick college books on this subject (it was one of my electives so sue me cause I thought it would be interesting and a way to meet chicks by taking a few classes on human sex) as my reference point for all this.

I'm just saying since it's so prevelant in American society, it's going to get done regardless 99% of the time and that's just WRONG. I think it's wrong in other countries that force kids to get scars, 10 frikken hoops around their neck, an earring the size of my dinner plates, or whatever else gets forced as irrevocable changes to a childs body without letting them grow up and make that decision for themselves.

How is it different to snip a male penis at birth versus sticking a large piece bone through a huge slit in the bottom lip of a child? Or cutting off the left pinky toe? Or when the Chinese used to bind the feet of female babies to keep them small enough that women would have a harder time running away from husbands? Bleh... frikking double standards if you think penis cutting on a baby is fine but anything else I mentioned is not.

I do.

They aren't for it, or against it. They say it's a personal choice and stop short of recommending it. BUT, they do not recommend against it, either.

If you're trying to use the AAP as a source against it, you lose.

Well, you said it yourself, they don't recommend it. Its kind of a neutral source, but its good to cite for those people who think there's a medical reason to circumcise.

Protect Your Uncircumcised Son A modern article with sources that takes each of the myths from the your site and discusses them.

The Case Against Circumcision The American history of this practice - Oh noes, the masturbation!
Both of your links come from a site for the magazine, "Mothering - the magazine of natural family planning."
sounds to me like they are against any artificial birth control, along with not changing anything you were naturally born with. of course, they are going to speak out against circumcision.

When they say "natural", they're referring to non-medicated childbirth, breastfeeding, gentle discipline, etc, not NFP or Christian family planning. They're rather enlightened - they have sections of their forum for gay parents, single moms, etc. I haven't read anything about their stance on birth control, but judging by the rest of the site, I'd guess they're pro-BC. (What does BC have to do with circumcision? I'm pro-BC and anti-circ.)

What do you think of the articles? Sounds like you're attacking the messenger, not the message.
here is what "natural family planning" means:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&...fmore&q=define:Natural+family+planning
you are interpreting it the way you want to interpret it.

and of course this Mothering magazine advocates natural (non-medicated) childbirth, breastfeeding, and "everyone is a winner" child disipline.

i have already said what i think of the articles. they are printing their views based on the fact they are against circumcision because they don't believe in anything "unnatural". they are trying to paint as non-rosey of a picture as possible.

i am not attacking the messenger, only countering the attack that said i posted from a "circumcision fetish" site for my information, which i did not, but then you've sited articles from a natural family planning site. their bias is not a surprise.

Actually, you are attacking the messenger. Did you even read the articles? Even better, do you know what the AAP says about circumcision?
yes, i did read the articles. did you read the ones i've linked?

it's still a case of the anti-circs saying one thing and the pro-circs saying another.
i tend to agree with Amused on those sitings.

I read quite a few of them, but ran out of time before I had to leave for work. I read lots of outdated stuff about cleanliness, phimosis, and other things debunked in the articles I listed. If your articles had merit then the world circumcision rate would be 80%-90%, not <25%. (Its probably lower, but I have to watch my google search terms at work.)

Why are you so unhappy with it, if I may ask?

For one, they never asked me if I wanted it chopped off. Two, now that I've started regrowing (1/3rd done), I have a lot better feeling and last a lot longer during sex. My wife is enjoying it a lot more, too. It seems I've been missing a lot the past ten years and I have my arrogant, shortsighted parents to blame.

I think every guy should be given the choice if they want it done instead of having it done automatically as a baby without consent. Cause once it's gone, there ain't no putting it back. I'm not sure its so much girls "liking it" as them being used to it. Its a cultural thing like you mention in one of your later posts.

Thanks for sharing your story.

I'm at work, so I can't search for the device I'm using. Bump the thread at around midnight CST and remind me and I'll post info. Regrowing is a pain in the ass, but the results so far have been well worth it for both my wife and I. Plus, it'll save my parents from some unpleasant questions from my uncut son.

70% is an exaggeration. It does remove a lot of nerve endings though, since the foreskin is reasonably sensitive. (though not as sensitive as the head itself)

As far as links, no, not off the top of my head.

EatSpam is so stubborn when it comes to forcing his beliefs onto others. Every guy, whether he's cut or uncut, is going to have his own positive opinion about his penis. All uncut guys can do is yell "mutilation" and worship the foreskin.

I just don't understand why it's so important to convince others on the internet that circumcision is wrong. GET OVER IT!

My wife likes it better...our sessions last longer and don't ever get dry. She gets more sensation too. She's anti-circ as well - there was no fight between us over our son.

Looking like my son is a nice side benefit, but its not the reason I chose to restore.

Your text books are way out of date. In Americal they know long before birth in most cases that the child will be a hermaphrodite and the parents are given lots of counseling and eventually they make a decision, most of the time that decision is based on functional aspects. Often one gender is geneticly preferred, for example a hermaphrodite could have the XX karyotype and be capable of having childern. The doctors DO NOT just decide with out anyones concent to preform surgery to make a hermaphrodite fit certian gender roles.

You seem to think that only the (sub)culture that you are in is correct, and everyone else is wrong. You can have that opinion, but do not try to foist it off on me.

Its because people on the Internet are people IRL as well and make decisions that affect bodies that aren't there own. Maybe if they see a guy, like me, who's so sure of himself and read about guys like HumblePie, they'll look into it. Google is only a few clicks/keystrokes away.

Well, look at the flipside... if he did have it done, but didn't want it done, he'd hate his parents even more, like me. Can't really undo a circumcision. Its awfully permanent.

Why are you so unhappy with it, if I may ask?

For one, they never asked me if I wanted it chopped off. Two, now that I've started regrowing (1/3rd done), I have a lot better feeling and last a lot longer during sex. My wife is enjoying it a lot more, too. It seems I've been missing a lot the past ten years and I have my arrogant, shortsighted parents to blame.
do tell

I'm at work, so I can't search for the device I'm using. Bump the thread at around midnight CST and remind me and I'll post info. Regrowing is a pain in the ass, but the results so far have been well worth it for both my wife and I. Plus, it'll save my parents from some unpleasant questions from my uncut son.[/quote]
how is your wife enjoying it?

and are you doing this partly for your son's benefit so he can look like Daddy does?
