It's not extreme mutilation in the sense of losing an arm or a leg, but I'm not going to take your word for it because you have no experience in this matter, and since you have never lost a foreskin you can not accurately comment on how it feels.
eh, you can't "cut" me out of this discussion that easily.
if so, everyone would have to have first hand experience for everything they had an opinion on.

The most propostorous thing I remeber reading in this thread is that in some cases the circucision of the baby boy goes wrong resulting in castration and the "parents are then instructed to raise to child as a girl" . ROFL !!!!!! Are they also instructed to have the "girl" get breast implants and take female hormones ? cause otherwise that "girl" will still look like a boy dressed as a girl.

moshquerade probably has the most hands-on experience here so she is the most qualified to comment on the aesthetics. Well ?

Whether the raising as a girl part happens or not, circumcisions do sometimes go wrong. Nothing, noone is perfect (defined in this case: being without flaw), and surgeons make mistakes (albeit rarely).

You still haven't conclusively showed me the health benefits of circumcision, and you refuse to acknowledge that there are people who actually remember being circumcised, and can vouch for the fact that it was <sarcasm> slightly </sarcasm> less trivial than "removing a mole."

Most men (at least the younger ones) have "hands-on" experience every day. Now tell me, which color works better for the carpet in every living room of every house in every country of the world: blue or green? The only time I care about my neighbor's carpet is if he is telling me that my choice of carpet is unequivocally ugly. Aesthetics are not universal.

Google "Botched Circumcision" ... there's a rather well know case study on this situation you mention. If the thread is still going tonight when I get off work, I'll find it for you.

Wait, so if the men were circumsized, then it'll take them a few months to heal right? Which means that they won't be able to do it till at least 6 months later. Ofcourse, that would reduce their chances of getting Aids don't you think?

Okay, so I didn't read the whole thread. This might have been covered. Just a thought.

I came to the same conclusion, though I know I must have read it before, so it's probably been covered somewhere in the past 8 pages (or however many based on your posts per page settings).

BTW, here's another.

Why is it so dumb ? I think the conclusion of the study is consistent with the notion that a circumcised penis is more hygenic and is less likely to contract and transmit many kinds of infecious disease, not just HIV. The reason it's more hygenic is because the removal of the foreskin reduces the area where infectious agents can prolifirate.

a "well known" single case does not mean it's the standard operating procedure to raise a boy that had a botched circumcision as a girl. That is the way it was presented here - if a circumcision is botched, the parents are instructed to raise the child as a girl. Again, this just shows the length to which the anti circumcision fanatics will go to and twist the facts to create fear and uncertainty.

It is just like surgeries to remove a mole or other skin imperfections for cosmetic and health reasons. It is NOT mutilation or "cutting off an organ". Circumcised is asthetically more pleasing because it looks less shriveled (= more excited).

that said, fvck mutilated cox. :p
you are uncut?

My son is uncut...
given a choice, would you rather be?

It's a moot point. I don't remember being circumcised as a baby and I have no experience of what it's like to be uncut. Having seen what is involved with circumcising a baby though I knew I didn't want to put my son through that. It just seemed totally unnecessary.

 for being a logical/good father! Your son will thank you when he grows up.

I am grown up and thank my father FOR doing it. Prone to infection, belly button lint for my cawk? no thanks, more 'folds' of skin to wash, fawkin ugly. Not put him throught it. Its a fukin baby man. What grown man remembers his day after birth? Wtf?

you're so lazy you can't be bothered to clean yourself then? that's pretty pathetic. hm and so it's ok to do whatever you want to infants since they won't remember? i've seen a video of a circumcision and i have never heard a child scream like that, it was heartbreaking. there is no doubt in my mind it is just flat out child abuse.

to save one person out of a hundred from getting hiv or a uti let's sarcrifice ninety nine mens sex lives! that's the kind of logic pro circers use and it's ludicrous. these doctors who are altering statisics to continue mutilating children are likely in it for the money or sadly they just like abusing children.

You know what else went down by 70% when you were circumcised? The number of nerve endings in your genitals.

/wishes he hadn't been circumcised

I don't get how you're all whining about "cleanliness" and such with an uncut penis.

Judging by the behaviour of the populace, you guys are already scrubbing your pud in the shower on the regular, so why not just use some soap the first time?

so make sure every partner is tested and then hope they don't cheat
and THEN always wear a condom.
that will get you closer to that 100%.

Testing and condoms aren't really an option, in Africa. If they could keep their stuff in their pants.. that'd be an option.

boy thats an ignorant statment

you are so off base. have you watched a circumcision first hand? sounds like all you've done is watch some anti-circumcision propaganda video on the net.
i have been present during a circ, and the doc used lidocaine to numb the area before the procedure. which is the same numbing agent they use in dentisty that allows you to not feel a thing during a cavity being drilled out or a tooth being pulled.
the child i watched squirmed but most likely because he was being held. the procedure is fast, and no where near your proclaimation of it being "child abuse"

and saying that docs are only doing it for the money is also off base. you could also say they do any surgery "for the money". i have never heard of a doc forcing a circ on a baby or forcing parents to give one to their child, so how can this be a "doing it for the money" thing?

save the drama next time.

do you have a reputable link as to those findings?
