Circular Paper Airplane

I know this is a shot in the dark but I really want to build this aircraft. A long time ago (maybe 9 years) my friends and I borrowed a library book that described how to build a flying saucer/circular paper craft that, according to the book, would on good conditions "fly out of sight". I am very interested in this now for a physics project, and I was wondering if anyone knows where this can be found (whether what the book is called or a website). Thanks.

No, thats not it. It looks like this. I'm not sure if it looks exactly like that but if I recall correctly, its pretty close. It's also supposedly pretty big and made out of thick papers.

Why not go back to the library (or any library) and look for the book. The librarians usually have paper airplane books on-hand, it interests the young ones when they go on class trips there.

that's not actually a wing, it's just a nose heavy tube.

Uh, technically if it's a surface that creates a pressure difference that provides lift, then it's a wing.

PP-ASEL = Private Pilot - Airplane Single Engine Land.

I'm going to do that tomorrow since I could not go there today, but I did check the online card catalogue and nothing was revealed. Maybe it does not list all the books, but I am not getting my hopes up. I was hoping someone would know just in case. If I find it, I'll let the interested ones know what I'm talkin about.

It's not. it's a wing bent into a circle. It's just a Bernoulli tube. It creates a pressure difference, but doesn't create lift. It just lowers pressure in the midle of the tube. If you cut off the top half of it, then it'd privode positive lift.

I have something like this laying around in the closet. They were selling them about 6 years back in the mall. Basically a simple tube, with certain grooves in it...when thrown right (like a football) it would fly like 300+ yards.

Hmm, not exactly what I had in mind but I'm really interested. If you could send me a pic (mwk111@zbzoom.net) or post one, I'd appreciate it greatly. I will check the library I thought it was in this weekend (my car is in the shop now), but if its not there, I dunno where it is.
