CircuitCity - 24 minutes Online Order/Pickup or $24 GC

So how is this a hot deal? Are you suppose to order things and see if your orders not ready in 24 min to get a $24 gift card else cancel your order?

How does CC decide if it takes 24 minutes? Do they say 'it's in the store so it's ready for picup' or do they have a system where it has to be at the pickup desk waiting for you? Kinda like those commercials that say 'We'll beat any price or the item will be free!!!!!!!'. Now, I don't know about you, but I certainly wouldn't count on getting that item for free (unless the business owner is a dumbass).

Or even "we'll pay off your existing loan, no matter how much you owe!" (Translation: "We'll tack on the balance of your existing loan to your new loan, no matter how much you owe!" 😉

Haha! I miss the days of free pizza from Domino's when they promised to get it to you in 30 minutes or less 🙂

So are you supposed to be there within 24 minutes as well? I mean what if you got there in 30, your item was ready in 26 minutes...are they going to 'fess up to it and hand you a $24 GC? It just seems like theres a lot of loop holes in it.

Yeah; I hate it when there are a lot of loop holes when a company is offering to give away free money (or GCs).

I was wondering the same thing, but I can't see it happening.

What if you place an order online and say it's ready in 20 minutes, but you don't get there for an hour?
What if toy place an order online and say it's ready in 45 minutes, but you don't get there for an hour?
In either scenario, are you adversely affected? You are not, and therefor would not be entitled to compensation (the $24 GC).

At least, that's how I see it playing out...

Ordering something on black friday was the first thing I thought of when I saw that commercial

I will probably just go in one day and order through the computer in the store and try to pick it up at exactly 24 mins.

Actually the fun thing would be to go to the store, find a display that has one or two of whatever you want to buy (so there is no question that it is in inventory), hide them then place the order. 🙂
