Circuit City : WD HD 45Gig - 99 After rebate.

I went to the B&M by my house and they were out - went home and ordered the drive online at their site with express pickup at the very same store. same price - rebates apply.

the kicker is that my confirmation notice said that I could pick up the drive immediately at that store - they were holding it for me! guess they have a surplus for this type of thing.

so this will be faster than most 5400s because of platter density?

I was lucky enough to score the last box @ Circuit City - Poughkeepsie, NY location. I previously went the first day of the sale (sunday) and did not strike gold. However, I think I read or heard someone say that CC gets new shipments on Tuesday. I was lucky though since I did not have a chance to get there until after work.

Yahoo!!! I finally got it!!! After much nagging because some idiot bought the drive from another store and not picking it up for at least 3 days, I convinced them to give up the drive ^_^ i'm happy! hope everybody got theirs too.
