I don't have a pamphlet but my grandparents have a tv from there with a warranty. If they go out of business or at least go out of business around here. Is the warranty going to be worthless or are they insured?

I worked there about 12 years ago, and one of the sales pitches for the warranties was that they were insured by GE. If memory serves, you should be fine.
 
All of the warranties/protection plans are directly insured by an outside agency. If you were to actually call the number on one of those pamphlets it would actually be to the insurance company. Depending on where you live the\ company may differ. Circuit City is pretty much only there to provide a more convenient way for you to get your service. Best bet is to go into your local CC store and figure out who you're insured by.
