Circuit City open

I wouldn't mind if they reopened some of the stores in this area, under previous or TD label. Only having BB as your local electronics store sucks some serious ass.

I thought the website front was bought by Tiger Direct

Are you thinking of CompUSA, or did they buy CircuitCity also?

from what i understand, yup.

The Whois information for CircuitCity.com lists Tiger Direct as the owner.

I believe Systemax is the owner of CC, TD and CompUSA.

Tell me about it. We had a CC right across from BB. I miss it now.

We have two Tiger Direct stores here. You don't want to go to a Tiger Direct store, trust me. It's complete and utter chaos.

How bad must your service be if you want to own (or be associated with) the Circuit City name?

In it's hayday, I preferred CC to BB. Seemed to have better quality audio equipment and better service. Once they got rid of the experienced staff and replaced them with high school dropouts is when i stopped going.

Well, that was only a small part of the problem. BB employs high school numbskulls too but they've thrived while CC failed. CC had a poor business model and didn't have a clue to what customers wanted.

If the TD store in Jacksonville is any example of what they are like, you're being too kind. They're horrible.
