Just like the topic says...good deals imho (though i hate circuit city rebates). I bought both and my rebate envelopes are in the mailbox, but I think you can only do one or the other..not sure.

This is exactly what I'm looking for. I'd like a small light for my desktop keyboard. I have an MS Internet pro with 2 USB ports onboard.

Perfect. Thanx

I saw one of those FlyLights when I was at the Apple Store laughing at the new iMac. I thought it was the coolest thing in the store. Too bad I don't have a practical use for it.

well, my usb light is connected to my ps2 🙂

looks kinda cool in the dark (i have it so that the light is directly about the ps2)

I can't believe I just wrote 'rebat'.

Anyways, I found this PLUS another Kensington rebate for $5 making this free! Both require original UPC, but you can usually get around that. Go to Best Buy to find the additional rebate!

Hmm... found the rebate, but it's got "best buy" all over it. So, don't think this will work.

Here's the rebate page anyway for those who want to take a look. Click on the rebate link: rebate

It doesn't say anywhere on the Terms & Conditions that it needs to purchased at BB, despite the Best Buy stuff in the background.

for circuit city, when you buy the item, the rebate is printed out with the receipt...

this light runs off the 5vdc of the usb power conductor...

damn bastards stole my idea from 2-3 years ago, even though i think these things have been around for longer as far as i know...

my friend bought me one for my birrthday . its really cool. i lost it though, so i guess this is my chance to replace it.

I was also interested in the mouse but couldn't find anything on the site about the rebate. Any information would be appreciated.

Anyone who has the KEnsington light. Whats the battery drain from the keyboard light? I know how to type so i dont see how this is usefull but for $5 then i'll give it a try. I have a keybaord (desktop) that has USB ports on it so it may be nice for using it there too.

My IBM T22 has a built-in white LED at the top of the LCD which can be turned on to illuminate the keyboard. It doesn't seem to impact battery life at all, which I guess is what you'd expect from a tiny LED. Is the Kensington USB Light also based on an LED?

according to Kensington the light is an LED, and it only trains like 90 seconds of battery per hour, which seems pretty minimal.

I was just at the kensington site, and noticed the prices are $19.99...I have been looking to buy one of these for a while, but I thought they were way more expensive than this?

you could probably mod the light to use any color LED you like, green blue, red, yellow, white, purple, etc...this has to be one of the coolest things for lighting these days...you could even buy a bunch of them and a USB hub or two and put them all around a desk or similar for precise lighting...is the rebate limited to 1 per household?

Rebate is 1 per person: Limit 1 rebate(s) per Item Purchased, product type, person, customer, address, household, purchase

The $15 rebate only wants a copy of the UPC:

$15 rebate instructions

That mouse appears to be a great deal. It is a USB optical mouse. Hard to find one of these for $5 after MIR.
