Ohhhhh really, so now I will get 3 emails from the same people with the same deals but in a different email format :disgust: (CompUSA TIger and Circuit City)

Wow what a crock. I was going to buy 12 but the max quantity is 1. $7 shipping and you can't even buy bulk for people who want a bunch. Def not hot.

Last time Trigger Derelict bought a company (CompUSSR), they started spamming my email form the old company lists. Wonder how long it will take this time.

If you go on the Circuit City website. You can opt-out of e-mails. They will delete your old customer records or something and not transfer it to the new site.

i miss the days of google checkout where you got $10 off your orders from places like buy.com etc
i think i ended up getting my last flash drive for like $1 or something lol

I can't opt out of a list I was never in? You have to give permission to be on a list. Just because I bought something doesn't mean I want to receive emails, therefore, it's spam, and I report it.

In this case, they are not sending promotions to former customers, just to addresses that actually elected to receive them. I know that because I did not receive this ad at my customer email address but at another address I use for promotion lists.

Oh get the rod out of your pooper. There's spam filters for a reason. Just filter everything from them and it'll go right into the garbage. It's not hard if you have a damn brain.

That's what spammers say. If you don't like my spam, just filter it, just opt out, etc Then they blame the victim. I stand by my principals.

Seems like there are other specials, like a 25 stack of TDK DVD+R discs for $0.99

Maybe there are other deals to make the shipping worthwhile.

That's not really the same as "what the spammers say". I don't consider adds from legitimate businesses that I can choose to opt out of or that I can easily filter spam.... sometimes I actually like getting adds and seeing specials from legitimate businesses that I would buy from. This is much different from the random address, spam filter defeating, junk mail offering me deals on Viagra and porn.

So too big to spam? Look I like Tiger Direct but it's a slippery slope. If you hold one company or level of company above the rest you give them a free pass to spam. When their IPs get listed, maybe they'll rethink the next time they abuse their email privileges. Opt in is not rocket science.
