Here's a repost of my own story from CheapAssGamer.com:
SUCCESS! Painful, time-consuming success! I'm not even sure it was worth it.
I ordered 4 of them online last week and went in this morning to pick them up and price match. Long story short, the following occurred within the 45 minutes-hour
-I was told they were part of a package
-I was told that they were not the same item
-I was told they were 17.99 therefore not valid
-I was told they were normally $30 and the price in the flier reflected the discount already
-I was left standing at the customer service desk while she went to talk to the manager no less than 3 times for a minimum of five minutes each time
I finally asked to speak directly to the manager, at which point she agreed to get him. After another 5+ minutes of the manager not coming to the front of the store, she took $37.99 (???) off the $84 I was originally charged for the online order. She said she was only taking $37 off because of the tax. I realize I was still charged more than I should have been, but at that point I didn't care.
I ALWAYS get shut out of the good deals because I'm not a savvy pricematcher or I can't argue with customer service because I don't want to get combative. I wasn't letting this one slide.
4 cards for $47 is still a darn good deal, even if I did get taxed twice. It works out to be close to my hourly rate so I'll just consider it another hour of work.
