For those of you that missed out on the cheap DDR "PC2700"...
Circuit City now has the 256MB PC2100 sticks prices at $24 after rebate.

Remember to look for the "-6" Infineon or the "TCB3" Samsung RAM.

And after all of the PNY deals of the last two weeks, don't you guys have enough ram? I bought 6gb's of 256mb pny....

Just checked CompUSA.. they have the PNY 256MB PC2100 for 39.99.
Could buy at CC with PM to compusa and then after $20 MIR = $20.99.

Guess I got lucky...I had a CC and CompUSA in the same area (77070, Houston, TX) so I called first to Comp and they confirmed they had the PNY PC 2100 256MB in-stock (SKU 289575). Then I went to Circuit City and PMed two sticks of the same stuff to CompUSA at the customer service desk. Easiest PM I've made this year! I think the register clerk was really busy because he didn't even call CompUSA to confirm the price! I realize for many this may be OOS in one store or another but this may be worth trying if these stores are open tomorrow.

Final Price : $39.99 - 20 MIR = $19.99 per each stick! Great price in theory.

Now the challenge will be to get the two rebates validated...will try work and home addresses. I did get duplicate receipts.

Memory I received had a label code of 6432WKDXA8G09TWK-OX0. Based on the Google search below, this looks like PC-2100, CAS 2.5. Was hoping to get better quality stuff...does anyone know if this will do PC-2700 in an nForce 2 board? If not I might just return the sticks and look elsewhere.

Google Search on this code

thanks for this post, I had bought the best buy $49 after rebate PNY (paid $69 -$20 Rebate) now maybe I can price match it down to get it for about $20 , I missed all the other DDR sales, I'm still running sdram in all my quickly getting outdated systems :)

Found more specific information. This memory is apparently CMTL-ceritified. CMTL has the information HERE.

Anyone have data on how far this stuff will overclock? I'm thinking about returning this and getting the Best Buy Crucial PC2100. However, price is half of the Crucial stuff. Any chance this stuff will run 166 DDR = 333 Mhz, CAS 2.5?

EDIT: It appears that after researching this long FW thread, my ram is mediocre at best. I'm going to go to CompUSA and try to score some faster sticks over there tomorrow. I need this ram to last me through 2003 so might as well spend the effort to get the fastest stuff possible. RAM prices seem very volatile these days...
