Circuit City 120gig WD HDD 79.99 after rebates

Don't forget, this is also the WD1200JRTL.
Three (3) year warranty!
Top of the line!😀😀😀

I smell SATAs comin' down the pike😀😀😀

With the flood of current hard drive deals, this one is fairly warm. Would be ok to price match somewhere the after rebate price and get the whole drive for that price. However waiting for $70 in the mail is not that tempting to me at least.

<STRONG>Edit:</STRONG> n/m, it's <a class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.westerndigital.com/en/products/products.asp?DriveID=27" target=blank>ATA 100</A>.

Is there much difference in speed between an ATA 100 and an ATA 133 drive?

Not really.

I'd say, wait til the next Fry's ad is out first, maybe that'll give opportunity for PM

The Fry's ad in Houston has the drive for 129.99 with a $40 MIR. Going to try a price-match later today at CC. I checked Fry's and CC and they both list the model as WD1200JBRTL

CC ran this same deal the first week of May, and I got my rebate back last week. Not too bad.

BUT, when they ran this deal then, BB had an agressive price match. If there was a BB close to a CC, they were offering the drive for $79.99 out the door, no rebates. You might try that again...

Didn't the ad expire yesterday? I guess you could get lucky and wind up being able to pull it off, hopefully friday's ad will have a good price since the CC rebate doesn't expire til saturday.

edit: haha, I remember the deal that waharris007 is talking about.. I got shot down ):

My $80 rebate on that deal was shipped out monday 😀

ATA-133 was Maxtor's gimmick but they have shown that an ATA-100 drive performs better connected to an ATA-133 controller. For whatever that's worth... Good deal but it would be better w/ a pm.

Probably lucked out but my local BB pricematched after rebate(s). Apparently they had the same deal last month--at least their rebate expired on 5-31.

Will be nice upgrade for my new Replay.

Hoping for a pm on this. If staples had it in stock, I'd be all over this.

I tried at 2 local Staples they were both out of stock...

I never seen at WD at staples, do they sell them?

FYI, I just tried this (Mobile, AL at Best Buy).... BB would NOT PM to the CC offer, I went in with a print CC.com's price, and printed both rebates. BB manager first called and made sure both of the rebates were from CC, and THEN turned around and said that they don't PM to after-rebate prices. I went through three different managers. Any suggestions on what I didn't do right?

Whoever does this needs to remember that this is very "YMMV".

YMMV is internet hot deal terminology for "Your Mileage May Very" which translates to "your experience with getting this deal may or may not occur depending on your location, the store, the sales people, the manager, etc." :Q

CC has this drive for 159.99-50MIR-20MIR=$89.99 for today.

Just looked at the Fry's newspaper ad for today. Seen a WD 120gb for 128.99-50MIR=$78.99. How's a PM sound on this? This ad is in the Bay Area. Please let me know if it will work. I need a new hard drive.
