circuit board in plasma screen needs to replaced

I have a Panasonic TH-50PX60U plasma screen. About 2 weeks ago my plasma screen wouldnt turn on. So i called Panasonic and they referred me to a local tv repair shop. I got a quote from the tv repair shop that its gonna take $300 to replace the circuit board on the tv (apparently that was what the problem was). Is this the best price I can get for the TV to get it repaired? Or what? Thanks

If you have the part number you can try and buy one online.
You could also try ebay and see if you can get a TV with a cracked screen for less and then just cannibalize the circuit board.

i dont think I am confident in myself to open up the tv and fix it myself. I was just wondering if the price for the parts and labor was fair.
