I live in Irvine and for some reason I always get system busy messages, It always takes me 20-25 times redialing before I am able to make a call. any suggestions on how I can improve this thanks

switch providers...cingular sucks in the bay area and as far as i know, anywhere in cali...verizon and AT&T are the best for cali...

Yeah they get buys once in awhile...but i usually get through after my 2nd try. Sprint drops your calls like a mofo.

I live in irvine and I have cingular also. I am seriously considering changing providers. This phone is pissing me off. I especially hate when the phone just beeps and hangs up on you without warning. I can't even get service in my own home!! This is bull$hit!!! I heard that verizon has much better service. come to think of it, I might just change my plan this weekend.

some people have good service...or they're just saying it, because i hate the "system busy" crap, and the dropped calls...numerous of them!! I"M sick and tired of their service, but I love the 8290s i'm going to have to switch to another carrier soon...how bout nextel?

I hear nextel is going to be the next trend....what do you all think?

i wish verizon used simm cards and supported 8290s. The only reason why i stick with cingular is their phone. Their service completely sucks. I can't even recieve calls in the house and had to walk out to make calls. I used verizon i never had this problem.. Why don;t cingular just fix their phone by installing more cell phone towers and restrict unmetered usage then we'll all be happy
