Go to cingular.com and sign up for either local or perferred nation calling plans. If you already are a cingular customer you can upgrade/downgrade to this plan. 300 anytime minutes and 5000 minutes for $30! Ends soon! Pay no long distance either! This is a great deal considering people I know have sprint or verizon and they always complaing about dropped calls / static!

300 anytime min is a PITA.
Pretty much all other cellular companies are offering this..

u are looking at $35-38 bill every month including tax.

Not to mention that cingular's coverage isn't nearly as good as AT&T's and Verizon's. It's fradulent advertising really (nextel does this too)

Ah sure! You must love having Sprint then and always having static on your calls or dropping them. Everytime I talk to friends in AZ who have Sprint its like they are in a tunnel or something.

Grant it its only 300 minutes anytime and 5000 N&W for only $30 its a kick as@ deal to me!

Cingular is like the cadilac of cellular services!

I guess this would be for people who love Cingular's crystal clear service and would like to upgrade/downgrade their account.

Hehe, yeah unlimited minutes are good! But I've tried so many months to use all of my 3500 nights and weekends per month and was only able to use around 3200 minutes. Your ear gets very soar and the phone gets hot too! : ) I was talking to everyone and their mother's nationwide trying to use my 3500 minutes! So good luck with your unlimited minutes, oh yeah and have fun talking to your friends through Sprint service. Maybe you can tell your friends that your in a mining zone or underground fixing the sewer. Hehe

Cingular uses AT&T's sites so its the same coverage. I have Cingular but when I drive through NY it shows AT&T on my phone yet its no extra charge.

I have the 400 min anytime and unlimited N&W nationwide as long as Im in my "local area".

I currently have 250 anytime and 3500 N&W with all the extra's and pay $30 a month with tax around $33. And thats nationwide plan which means I call from my phone from where ever I am in all 50 states! Good for people who travel a lot. Weekend and Nights start at 9PM. That offer was like 6 months ago. Haven't seen a nationwide plan with Cingular that offers 3500 N&W for sometime now. I don't know how you get $36 - 38 a month whats your tax rate anyways!

awesome.
thanks shockazooloo,
i didnt know you could downgrade plans without having to get a new contract...
i had a $39 plan and i was buillding up rollover minutes at an alarming rate. (i have like 1000+)

the really nice thing about changing down to this $29 plan is that the CS rep said that my rollover minutes stay, and if i go over, will get deducted from.

so now i have 300anytime and 5000 n/w, and about 1k rolloverminutes in case i go over the 300.

i think anyone that has a big plan they arent using could make some savings by downgrading then using their leftover rolloverminutes.

Cingular may use some At&t sites, but that is only on the East Coast, here on the West Coast At&t and Cingular have their own towers, not to mention that Cingular is GSM on the West Coast.

I have the Cingular Nation $39.99 plan (upgraded from the old special olympics $35 plan), and you get 500 minutes that rollover and NO roaming charges. If you plan on traveling in the near future, might as well get 100 less anytime that can roll over and no roaming since it all rolls over anyways.

yep, if you need 300 minutes, you need to get local plan, which will cost you roaming $$$$.

sometimes, it's wise to spend $10 more than get the bloated overcharge

i don't know why companies brought that plan in , (t-mobile at first, cingular, and verizon followed.. along w/ ATT)

and now verizon droppped it so suddenly, cingular ended it on 1/31/03 .. t-mobile is ending in a week, and who knows about ATT :p
