I think I've decided to cancel my regular verizon service and move to AT&T because I can get a free Curve 8310 and no contract.

Those of you with the blackberry and cingular/at&t, how do you like the network? How are the speeds for surfing the web?

Thanks!

I have absolutely no issues with their network on mine. I love the Curve, but I've actually gone to using my 8525 w/ Blackberry connect instead so I can have 3G. The Blackberries are still EDGE only. That's great for battery life and fine for your average browsing session and email reception. It really blows for tethering and for multimedia streaming, though. Like I said though, I do like the Curve. It's very sharp looking and easy to use, and it's unbeatable for it's core task (email). So... the bottom line is that it really depends on what you intend to do with the device. If you're going to use it primarily for email, phone, browsing from the phone, occasional MP3 playback, you're good. If you want a full-fledged multimedia device and want to tether, you might consider a 8525 or Tilt. My 2 cents...

My provider is AT&T. They've had the 8525 (HTC Hermes/TyTn) for quite some time now. The Tilt (HTC Kaiser/8925) is the successor to the 8525 and is now available as well.
