Cingular RollOver

Mo0o

Lifer
I'm currently on Verizon and am thinking of switching to Cingular in August. Probably getting the 39.99 plan w/ Rollover. My question about roll over is , does it just accumulate indefinitely? Or is there a certain limit to how much time can actually be rolled?

TIA

FYI, Cingular will introduce a major overhaul in their rate plans on June 1st. If you want more minutes per dollar, don't wait.

howardforums.com might have something on it...

BTW, rollover rocks...

I currently have about 2400 minutes each month in rollover split between 3 phones... no way in hell will we ever go over 😀

Looks like the plan I'm interested in hasn't changed. 450 w/ rollover and 5000 night/weekend.

The fine print is that if you have rollover minutes, you're paying too much because you don't need a plan that big.

Currently I'm paying 39.99 for 450 anytime and unl nw with Verizon. This cingular deal seems better. Tmobile might be a possible choice but im not so sure about the coverage in Durham NC

That's not true. Some months I'm well under my plan, but on others I can come close to doubling my plan minutes. Rollover is perfect for those like me.

If you call t-mobile and give them your address (or even just your zipcode), they can look it up on their coverage map and tell you what areas around you have what quality of service. They can even tell you things like where the cell towers are, where new cell towers plan to be constructed, and when they plan to be functioning. 🙂

Most customers don't have usage fluctuations anywhere near that, but I agree that a rollover plan is perfect for ya.

For me, 39.99 seems like the standard from any service with the ballpark amount of minutes I need every month. But with cingular ill be able to roll over any excess I have. I'm taking a look at Tmobile and their overall coverage is pretty shoddy, and they dont offer plans in the 27708 area code. Oh well.

Cingular's coverage rocks because they bought AT&T Wireless and merged the networks. Their coverage is naturally going to kick ass.

Yep. I need that because i spend half my time in NC and half my time in WA. I need a service that can cover both areas. And with the RAZR so cheap, im tempted. GOttadeal had buy.com giving me 50 bucks after rebate. although rebates are always a little shadey

fvck rollover. free in-network calling 😀 I've never had to worry about my minutes with verizon because everyone I know also has verizon. 😉

Cingular has this too! I've converted everyone I know to them.🙂 It wasn't hard to do because Verizon's phones suck!! It took them forever to get phones with bluetooth, and once they did they crippled them. WTF Verizon!!!:|

Verizon works very well in my area, and I'd rather have a great reception that a phone that can do camera/video/other crap

I use my phone to call people (and maybe text once in a while)

I use a 2 year old Motorola T730 ... doesn't even have a camera, but I don't care for one.
