My Razr has been buzzing and whistling while talking to people, so I logged into my account on Cingular's website, and requested a phone exchange. Got the phone a couple of days later (they shipped same day via UPS 2 day), and it was a brand new retail box Razr, pretty kick ass if you ask me. All they ask is that I return the other phone with the pre-paid label within 15 days.

Now my phone doesn't whistle anymore .

Not to crap on your parade or anything.......

They didnt treat me so good when I moved over from AT&T and had to get a new phone. The phone took a month to arrive. I didnt like it and returned the product the same day. Took two months to get a refund.

Now I am with tracfone and am much happier.

Sometimes I think they hate me because I'm not cool. 🙁
Or maybe its cuz I am not a good customer.
I only get the cheapest plan available with no data options. I always pay on time (which means they cant stick me for late charges) and I refuse to sign up my friends and family.

I guess I'm just not a good moneymaker for them.

Can't you just take it to the store and have them replace it there?

Verizon Wireless has in house techs that will replace the phone in store and no need to wait for the phone to be shipped and the hassle of shipping it back.

I'm glad that they worked for you.

I hope you'll understand when I say that I had such a bad customer experience with them that I can't let your thread go by without commenting on how spectacularly the (rest of) their customer service department sucks.

Perhaps they'll change...

I went there a few weeks ago, and they told me to call or go online to get my phone fixed. Maybe it was that specific store.

Does cingular not have warranty replacements at the stores? If they don't then what do you do if the phone stops working because of a defect. It would suck waiting a week for a phone.

how much did that Razr cost you to begin with?

Quite a pretty penny, around $400, but my company paid for it 🙂.

you can get the razors for free after a $150 rebate on amazon now...

granted you have to wait 60 days to file the $150 rebate and then wait another 8 weeks to get it...

Yeah, but at the time I bought it back in January, Buy.com had it for $350 after rebates, so thats what I had to pay.

So I was talking on my cell for a few minutes today, and that goddamn whistling is STILL there...just not as audible. It doesn't come on until about 3 minutes into the convo. The old one started doing it within 30 seconds.
