Cinemax $.01 for a year on Dish Network

This is a deal I didn't see mentioned very much. I saw it on Satelliteguys.us and figured if any of you guys have Dish Network on here you might as well get the deal.

You have to sign up for CC Autopay and paperless billing to get the deal. It includes all the Cinemax channels DN carries, even the HD ones.

I already was using autopay and paperless. I went through DN's site, got in an online chat with a CSR and had Cinemax activated in 3 minutes.

It's a penny for a year. After a year it goes up the the regular rate. It'll cost you a $5 downgrade fee to get rid of it after a year.

EDIT: Should mention that if you dropped Cinemax within the last 6 months, you won't be eligible.

Does Cinemax have any boxing like HBO BAD & SHO BOX?
We are going to move shortly & I'm looking to give up Comcast...figured to go with Dish or DirectTV (DirecTV?)
(Or is Cinemax another of those sewer lines coming into the house?)

Edited for: Hot deal! 😀😀😀

I have Dish and subscribe to no premium channels, so this is obviously of great interest to me. But what is this autopay thing?

Do I have to sign up for another credit card?

I did this a couple months ago. You need paperless billing and autopay via bank account or credit card. I do credit card. From what I understand it is supposed to renew for an extra year after the first at $.01. This means 2 years of Cinemax for $.02. Not a bad deal. I set up the paperless billing and the autopay on the website and then did an online customer service chat. Channels were active within minutes. Hopefully the $5 downgrade charge won't apply after the promo is over. If they pull that $%^& then I will raise hell.

😕 Over $5?! Dude, that'll buy you maybe a quart of unleaded by then.

Yeah, no shit. Barking about $5? You figure that one set of premium channels run about $10/month. That's $120 for the year. $5.01 is still a hella good deal.

BTW, they will charge you the downgrade fee. When I signed up, the CSR made me aware of that fact.

I called AT&T / Dish like 4 times today, and when I finally got to the right people, they said anyone who bundles AT&T phone service with Dish does not qualify for the promotion.

:|:thumbsdown::disgust:

I wonder if I can unbundle the services and still get Cinemax for $.01
