Cindy Sheehan - Todays Hero

Cindy Sheehan has become a powerful voice, venting the feelings of so many. Feelings the news media and press ignored, for the cash value of selling the war.
Ad's featuring Cindy Sheehan have been running, and they say it all.
I don?t care if "Cindy Sheehan doesn?t speak for us". She "is" speaking for a hell of a lot.
I never thought we should cut and run, but I am beginning to change my mind.
Maybe we should.
Not only is she speaking on behalf of her son, she is speaking on behalf of justice.
Regardless of 9/11, Americans just don?t act like our enemies. There is no justification for the government to lie to its people. Make up false hoods. Of send our young men and women to die for an unjust cause.
Iraq did not attack us. They had no WMD. There was no connection between them and 9/11. And no American should have been sent to die in this war.
God bless Cindy Sheehan!

Makes me want to puke! John Kerry and Jane Fonda the second. Have you thought of migration? I understand that the Saudi's are looking for a few good guys in skirts.

I think its a bit embarassing that Bush will not talk to this woman... Sure he doesn't have time to meet with everyone who crawls out of the woodwork, but she is drawing a lot of media attention and she seems to be asking for a meeting in earnest. He does have some sort of responsibility to every single citizen of this country, even if he doesn't need their votes anymore.

We need more Sheehan threads.

P.S. to Siva: He's already met her. This is just a publicity stunt.

well then nevermind me, what is she asking for now?

I dunno. I'd ask for a F-15 that was being retired, or something. That'd be pretty cool.

Sweet. Bet it costs a fortune to fill at the pump though. I would want to talk to Bush about those gas prices.

Almost 2/3 of this nation disapprove of the handling of the Iraq War. It's more than safe to say that Cindy speaks for the MAJORITY of America, no matter how hard the right tries to Swiftboat her.

She's demanding ANOTHER meeting with the President so she can berate him this time.

Actually it seems she's glad he didn't meet with her: "I look back on it, and I am very, very, very grateful he did not meet with me, because we have sparked and galvanized the peace movement," Sheehan told The Associated Press. "If he'd met with me, then I would have gone home, and it would have ended there."
Right, she would have dropped it  Her actions and statements suggest otherwise.

honestly, though, I don't see how it being a publicity stunt really changes her message any.

it's not one that I 100% agree with, but all the personal attacks have seemed really shameless to me.

DS! He did talk to her. Apparently she fell in love and just wants to see him one more time.

Actually that isn't true. I know many people disapprove of the handling of this war who do support the war so using that poll does NOT mean she speaks for a majority. I know many that think we should be handling this war in a more agressive manner instead of the way it has been handled, so that poll doesn't mean 2/3 don't support the action in general.

BTW, showing people what she has said and done is not attacking her. I find it funny that the extreme left is still whining about the swiftboat guys. Don't like the truth about people and what they say presented to the public? Looks like it.

Remember when you libs were crucifying him for buying oil at $27.00 a barrel to build up the reserves? He was making his oil baron friends rich, remember? Now he says he is prepared to release the reserves to drive the price down - seeing as how he was leader enough to prepare for something like this. Great man! Not you, Bush!

Hard to believe we got this far with 2/3 of our citizens that stupid.

there's a difference between the truth and repeating a half-truth so often it becomes seen as the "truth" (at least in regards to the whole swiftboat thing)

You libs? Niceeeeeeeeeeeeee. I was joking, in fact I was making fun of this woman who's so repugnant to you, I wasn't bashing Bush at all. There was no need to overreact, no need to be a political fanboy.

Time to grow up.

Good thing they've woken up and realized this president is a complete and abject failure.

We got here on our feet, not our bellies. The liberal way will never work!

Cindy Sheehan is a true American hero. God bless the USA and great Americans like Cindy Sheehan.
Dissent is Patriotic.

Apathy is Traitorous.

Amen to that! Those who champion our soldiers deaths and beg for more will always be the bottom feeders in our great country. It's OK though, I support their right to be complete and utter morons!
