And gives me the winds something fierce! Usually I can detect in a dish before I eat it. Unfortunately around where I live every restaurant thinks it is the new wasabi and puts it in everything (mashed potatoes, tomato soup, and any dish that sounds remotely ethnic)

Interestingly enough parsley is in the same family and it does not carry the same effects. But if you store cilantro and parsley together in a cup with a little bit of water to keep them fresh, the cilantro will pass the taste into the parsley.

I say BURN the cilantro!

Cilantro is used often in Asian cooking, especially soup dishs.
Pho soup dishs and hot and sour soup + cilantro = orgasm

I love cilantro, but never knew about the love it/hate it aspect. The soap thing is just WIERD!
