No, it's the highly reactive compounds that are created when you burn any organic substance, some of them carcinogenic.

and since the "cigarette" is the sum of all ingredients contained in aforementioned item, it's logical to assume that the "cigarette" is just the aggregate of all ingredients thus "cigarette = ingredients = bad for you."

Oh, I suppose that I'm gonna hear all the stuff, like;

It's a nasty habit
You must taste like an ashtray
I don't want to breath your second hand smoke
You could get cancer
Yadayada, but you know what? I have never been one who lived my life based on what other people thought. I don't care what they think.
I drive a big gas guzzling SUV, because I can, and because I know how much some people hate them, but then again, I don't care what people think. I'm wasteful and excessive in all my endeavors. I don't care when I throw a half a steak down the garbage disposal. I don't do leftovers, and I definitely don't care what people think. I like to listen to my music very loud. I don't care what people think. Tonight, I started to care a little about what people think, when that cop came to the door and told me to turn my music down. ;)

wow, you sound like a self-centered a$$hole

Nah, he's just trying really hard to make people believe that. Probably makes him feel cool.

The fact that nicotine is highly poisonous is enough proof for me that cigarettes are bad. And after 15 years of smoking I can tell my lung capacity has diminished.

Yes.

Question: Has California, with their bullshit no-indoor smoking law, lowered deaths related to lung cancer caused by second hand? Has New York? Has Washington? Or has the level of vehicular emissions kept the number as rock solid as ever?

That's a pointless question. Even if second-hand smoke caused lung cancer, it takes a long time for any such symptoms to materialize, and the laws were passed not too long ago. Why ask questions like that which beat around the bush in order to get your opponent to "pwn themselves" when you could just say what you mean in the first place? The second-hand smoke research is extremely suspect.

by saying yes you just refuted your own statement.
