Cigarette Vending Machines

Do these still exist anywhere in the US? I've seen them in other countries recently but I can't recall seeing them in the US since maybe the early 90s...

We have them in liquor stores and bars in Canada (around here anyway).

I can't even remember seeing them in bars or pubs anymore. I don't smoke though so I might just have not noticed them.

I saw one in 2005 in Pennsylvania

I recall a law being passed in the 1990s that restricted where they could be located. I remember seeing them near the entrances of restaurants when I was a kid.

Cigarettes are so expensive these days, a lot of people don't even carry enough small bills or coins to buy a pack.

I've seen food vending machines which take credit cards in downtown Chicago and various airports...

I guess it would make sense in places where you had to be 18 to get into anyway. I remember seeing them in the entry ways of restaurants.

There was one at a bar / grill that I used to go to, it was still there as of about a year ago when I last visited it before moving.

Not in Ontario. Last time I saw one must have been at least 17 years ago. There used to be a family restaurant/bar chain in town called Belamies that had one. They're long since out of business.

They have them in bars here sometimes.. or they did at least... I think they're banned anywhere minor-accessible though.

They have them all over in Austria.. but the last time I was there, the machine ID's you (based off the bank card somehow), so I couldn't buy from them. It wasn't like that 5 years ago.

last place i saw them in nashville where minors could go was in a small concert venue that i think got bulldozed. this was early 2000's

I remember seeing them when I was a little kid. Not since then though. I think the last time I recall seeing one was in a bowling alley.

They had one at the bowling alley when I was a kid. When I was there during league on saturday, that's when i bought mine.

They had some in the Waffle Houses when I was working in Louisiana...thats the only place Ive seen them for years...they had them at Waffle Houses here in GA up to a few years ago...

Theyre getting rid of them just because its hella easy for a minor to buy them...no one watches over Cig machines to check for ID...
